Copyright Policy
How to report copyright infringement and how we respond.
Last updated · 2026-05-16
1. Our position
We respect copyright. Sites hosted on Vibie that contain content infringing someone's copyright will be taken down once we receive a valid notice.
If you're a copyright holder and your work appears on a Vibie-hosted site without authorization, submit a notice using the process below.
2. How to send a notice
Email hello@vibie.io with subject "Copyright notice — [URL]". Include:
- Your full legal name and contact email/phone
- The exact Vibie URL(s) where the infringing material appears
- Identification of the copyrighted work (link to your original, registration number, etc.)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you're authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
We review notices within 1 business day. Valid notices result in the URL being taken down within 24 hours of confirmation.
3. Counter-notice
If your site was taken down and you believe it was a mistake (you have rights, or it's fair use), you can submit a counter-notice:
- Email hello@vibie.io with subject "Copyright counter-notice — [URL]"
- Identify the URL that was removed
- Explain why you believe it was removed in error (e.g., you hold rights, license, or fair use)
- Statement under penalty of perjury that the above is accurate
- Your contact info and physical/electronic signature
We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. If they don't file legal action within 14 days, we restore the content.
4. Repeat infringers
Accounts that receive multiple valid copyright notices may be terminated. We track patterns to distinguish honest mistakes from systematic infringement.
5. False notices
Submitting a knowingly false notice may make you liable for damages under Korean copyright law (저작권법 §103). Use this process only for genuine copyright concerns. For other content issues (privacy, harassment, trademark), use the Report button on the site or email hello@vibie.io.
